Our Story
Eviva Total Wellness wasn’t born in a corporate boardroom—it was born in the quiet moments between high-stress shifts and the intense demands of the hospital floor. We spent years as OB hospitalists, navigating the complexities of emergency care and the relentless pace of a life always "on”. In the trenches of hospital medicine, we formed a partnership based in mutual respect and a shared understanding: the traditional healthcare system was designed to react to illness, but it was rarely equipped to cultivate true, long-term wellness. We saw women—including ourselves—struggling with burnout, hormonal imbalances, and the feeling that "just getting through the day" had become the standard.
We leaned into our shared love for clinical rigor and our personal passions, we built a practice that honors the body’s need for resilience. Today, Eviva Total Wellness is a place where the grit of clinical expertise meets the grace of intentional, personal care. Fueled by the power of connection, we’re helping patients move beyond symptom management and into a future defined by true, whole-body vitality.
Dr. Charise Fashho, MD, FACOG, DABOM
Board-Certified OB/GYN & Obesity Medicine Physician

Dr. Charise Fashho is a double board-certified OB/GYN and Obesity Medicine physician (ABOM), as well as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, who believes true health exists at the intersection of science, resilience, and real life. Her clinical philosophy blends surgical precision, metabolic science, and compassionate listening to deliver individualized, evidence-based care.
She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, where clinical rotations in Acadiana sparked a lasting appreciation for the culture and community of South Louisiana. She completed her residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, refining her expertise in high-acuity obstetrics and complex gynecologic surgery. During residency, she was voted the Resident Teaching Award by her peers — a distinction reflecting her commitment to mentorship, leadership, and advancing women’s healthcare education.
Dr. Fashho’s career spans diverse healthcare environments, including private practice in Louisville, Kentucky, and academic experience with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She later served as an OB hospitalist within large healthcare organizations and as a clinician for Weight Watchers, gaining insight into both corporate medicine and population-based metabolic care. Known for clinical excellence and relational leadership, she has a natural ability to connect physicians, specialists, administrators, and community partners to strengthen collaborative women’s health initiatives. Her integrity anchors every professional relationship, and she is recognized for high standards, reliability, and principled decision-making.
While her early career thrived in the operating room, motherhood reshaped her understanding of sustainable health. Witnessing burnout firsthand shifted her focus toward root causes — inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, mitochondrial health, and hormonal balance. That evolution ultimately led her to co-found Eviva Total Wellness, where she blends clinical precision with a personalized, longevity-focused approach that helps women reclaim energy, confidence, and vitality.
Long before medical school, her discipline and sense of purpose were clear. In college, she turned down a brief television opportunity on The Guiding Light to sit for a required biology practical — a defining moment that reflects the same commitment guiding her work today.
Today, Dr. Fashho’s approach is shaped by both advanced expertise and lived experience — as a physician, mother, entrepreneur, and woman navigating the same physiological transitions her patients face. She integrates hormone therapy when appropriate, metabolic optimization, and lifestyle medicine to help women move from survival mode to sustainable strength.

Dr. Abigail Hart, MD, FACOG, DABOM
Board-Certified OB/GYN & Obesity Medicine Physician
Dr. Abigail Hart is a double board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Obesity Medicine (ABOM) who believes medicine should be both clinically excellent and deeply compassionate. Her work is shaped by surgical rigor, leadership experience, and personal transformation, all grounded in individualized, evidence-based care.
She completed her undergraduate education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before earning her medical training through the LSU Baton Rouge OB/GYN Residency Program—one of the state’s highest-volume and most demanding clinical environments. During residency, she received the Minimally Invasive Surgery Award for advanced technical skill and was selected as Chief Resident, a distinction reflecting exceptional clinical judgment, surgical expertise, and the trust of faculty and peers. In that leadership role, she mentored fellow physicians while managing complex obstetric and gynecologic cases in high-acuity settings.
Dr. Hart’s early career focus in gynecologic oncology further refined her surgical expertise. She performed advanced pelvic surgeries, coordinated multidisciplinary cancer treatment plans, and managed intricate postoperative care. Ultimately, she made the intentional decision to prioritize family and build something deeply personal and community-centered.
She established a private OB/GYN practice in Acadiana, caring for women across every stage of life. During these years, she cultivated meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients—an aspect of medicine she believes is foundational to healing. Known for her approachable and down-to-earth bedside manner, Dr. Hart creates an environment where women feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Following her own breast cancer diagnosis, her understanding of health expanded profoundly. Despite a lifelong commitment to Pilates, long-distance running, and resistance training, the experience deepened her exploration into chronic stress, inflammation, environmental toxicity, mitochondrial health, and their impact on disease and longevity.
Today, Dr. Hart is dedicated to bringing advanced menopausal and metabolic care to Acadiana through a blended evidence-based and holistic approach. She works closely with women—especially those navigating perimenopause—to improve symptom control, metabolic health, and long-term vitality through personalized nutrition strategies, strength training, stress regulation, and cellular optimization.
Her ultimate goal is simple: to help women feel strong, informed, and fully at home in their bodies.
